In an attempt to reject the counting of the election results, Donald Trump inspired supporters to march to the US Capitol Building and a riot occurred. Police retreated and mobs stormed the Capitol, forcing Congress to evacuate. The Capitol Grounds were vandalized and property was destroyed. One woman was shot and killed. Three other people died from medical emergencies. Numerous police officers were injured.
